Actually, even more time consuming than food shopping is planning the food shop. I have the same four or five fail-safe meals on rotation and two fussy kids who, of course, like completely different things and turn their noses up at anything that’s not pizza or pasta. I’ve tried online, deliver-to-your-door meal plans but when the variation started to wane I found myself searching for the next quick, healthy, throw-it-in-the-pan alternative. Short of a live-in cook, I was all out of ideas until I stumbled across BARE, the new e-book from local girls Leah Itsines and sports dietician Emily Hartley. Think healthy, balanced, quick and easy meals. It’s a working mums dream come true! I caught up with the girls for a long lunch at the beautiful Jacob’s Creek in The Barossa where we chatted about the importance of balance and making realistic, healthy choices. They also shared some tasty recipes from their just-released read – turn to page 17 to find out more. This issue, as the cooler months roll on in, we also uncover some of autumn’s most wearable trends (starting on page 27) – pantsuits, tweed and over- sized accessories are all tipped to be big news. If you’re planning a wedding, you’ll want to check out our real weddings (page 82), and there’s plenty of home inspo starting on page 65. We love telling South Australian stories so if you would like to see your home or wedding on the pages of SA Style send us some pics at firstname.lastname@example.org.
