SA STYLE summer 2O17 99 / SA Style #summer2O17 / The Bride Dress. Jaimie sortino designed my wedding dress. He is truly talented and so easy to work with. The design was very simple with a train at the back and ruffled layers at the front. It was a white silk with a gorgeous sheer back. Accessories. I wore my mother’s pearl earrings. my shoes were Alexandre Birman from The Corner shop in sydney. Hair & Makeup. Paige swalue of Natural skin and Hair styled a high ponytail with a soft curl. Aislinn Bascombe from Port Lincoln created a soft natural makeup look. I wanted to look like me. Rings. Jarred designed my engagement ring with one of my sisters (thank you, Harriet) with the team at Bell & Brunt. my mother’s ring is also from there. They chose a solitaire diamond with a thin halo and pave band of the same thickness. my wedding ring, made by maddern Jewellery Design, is a pave band identical to the band on my engagement ring. The Boys Groom & Groomsmen’s Suits. The ensembles were all from Calibre. Classic black suits, white shirts and black shoes from Country road. The boys wore black silk ties and Jarred wore a bow tie for a point of difference. The sTyling Décor. We decided on a cocktail setting. elegant and relaxed, I love seeing friends from different stages of our lives all mingle together. We are so lucky in Port Lincoln to have the very talented Crystal James of eP Function Hire. she pulled together my brief even better than what I had in my head. We had a white picket fence around the boundary, and lots of green foliage hanging above the main entrance way, walkways and bar areas. Festoon lights were hung across the deck and outdoor area, with ivy twisted around them. We had chesterfield lounges scattered about, and the bar tables and bar stools were timber with white wire legs. Plenty of greenery and white flowers with glass candles everywhere. Cake. made by the talented sugar Daisy Cakes. It was a round, three tier dessert covered in white rough butter cream and a collection of white flowers trailed down the side. Each tier was a different flavour, and utterly delicious! Flowers. Golden Sable Florists created floral arrnagements with white David Austin roses mixed with other white blooms and an abundance of greenery. my bouquet had long stems wrapped in white ribbon. The bridesmaids had a slightly smaller version of mine. The Fun Photographer. Amy of Amy roswell Photography – she was truly wonderful, very relaxed and gave great direction. Her personality really added to the whole day. We had a lot of fun location scouting locations prior to the wedding. Entertainment. Tw o of our dear friends provided the entertainment at the church and the reception – Nick Cunningham and Joey stevens. Transport. All white cars supplied by family. Two Audi Q3s and a VW Touareg. Food. 1802 catered the day with seafood and wine from Wicks estate. We served unwrapped mini magnums on platters later in the night, which was a tribute to Jarred's late father (they were his favourite). Accommodation. We stayed in our house. People couldn't believe we weren't staying at a hotel, but we had just built a beautiful new house and had hardly spent any time there.
